How to Dramatically Increase Your Website’s Traffic?May 7, 2019 By Sherri Harrison 0 comments
If I were to tell you that I was able to drive more than 500,000 online traffic to your ecommerce website development, will you believe me? I am pretty sure that most of you are skeptical of what I said, but that is actually true.
In the past 3 years, I have garnered more than 500,000 visits to my own website. I know this isn’t much when compared to other websites, but it is still quite a success and an achievement at the same time.
If you want to follow in my footsteps, then feel free to read the rest of the article to find out some things I did to achieve this much success.
Use the ‘Skyscraper’ Technique
Developed by Brian Dean, this technique involves a step-by-step process into creating something that is worth sharing.
The first thing that you need to do is do some research and see which topics have the most search volume. Make sure that these topics are relevant to your niche.
Next, you want to make a shortlist of the best ones that you can find and make something even better.
Once you’ve created your content, you should contact industry leaders and influencers to help you generate a link that is required for you to rank.
Repeat this with your other new content pieces.
The idea of content layering is to make sure that you promote your content with additional content that is relevant to that.
Let me explain. Suppose that you’ve created a guide in choosing the perfect snowboard, you have to “layer” that content in such a way that expounds on the same topic- only that the link is generated via an industry leader.
This means that any content and relevant pieces that you add to that will have SEO benefits which, in turn, will drive more traffic to your website.
Remember that all of the contents that you’ve created will be forgotten if you do not do what is known as “Content maintenance”. You see, your content’s performance will fluctuate and will trend downwards as time progresses.
What you do is to go visit your old content and update it with new and fresh information so that it will continue to rank high in the search engine results pages.
Do an additional layering to your existing content while you’re at it to further improve its performance.
Whatever you do, make sure that the content is related to the overall idea of your website. It should not veer away from your original goal since your established goal is part of the personality of the brand.
Also, you have to take into consideration that the success that I’ve achieved is thanks to continuous hard work and patience. The results that I have achieved is not possible immediately and anyone who would say otherwise is just outright lying to you.
What I need you to focus on is continue to write shareable content and make use of the other techniques that I’ve said in this article to help increase your site’s traffic dramatically.
